Tuesday Photo Challenge – Round Up 31

Late, but continuing!

First of all, my apologies for posting this week’s round up late; but it has been crazy busy, including some great fun for a good cause over the weekend.

My slacking on posting this round up certainly didn’t affect any of you, as there were a plethora of responses to this week’s challenge of Continuation.  Taking a look at all of them, it is interesting to see the variety of approaches to this topic and all the great images and poems!

Here’s a continuation of another sort, as the road may go in and out of view, but it moves forward to help guide us along our path of on-going exploration.

The following were this week’s participants in the challenge with links to their posts:

  • Leaking Ink ‘s post provides us with both a great image from the highlands of Malaysia, but also a poem that ties in with the theme!
  • Miriam’s entry in her blog Showers of Blessing shows us the continuity of the ocean and its waves.
  • Marga’s post in the photographer smiled… shows us the irrepressible continuity of the river that flows by her hometown.
  • Xenia’s Whippetwisdom post not only includes a whipper and a lovely haibun about her subject of the moon; perigee makes us grow closer to our nearest neighbor.
  • Michelle shared a beautiful image in her blog Southern by Design, showing the edge between light and dark and accompanies it with text you have to read!
  • Emily’s post in Zombie Flamingoes shows us four different images relating to the theme, each of which is beautiful!
  • Marie’s post in The New 3Rs: Retire, Recharge, Reconnect expresses continuation with great beauty and style!
  • Miriam’s post in Out an’ About talks about her chase for the full moon and expresses how this moon left her recharged through some awesome images!
  • Nature Knows Best, as Judith postulates in her blog, and she is so right!  You better go and check what she did in this week’s post!
  • Ann’s provides us with a  poem, which is beautifully illustrated in photography in her entry in Ann J White.
  • Debbie’s post in Forgiving Connects combines wonderful images with her story of continuation, as life meanders through space and time.

Another fantastic set of entries!  A little later today, you’ll see my post with this week’s theme.

Tuesday Photo Challenge – Continuation

We shall persevere!

Welcome to episode 31 of the Tuesday Photo Challenge!  After a week of simplifying our photography, which saw wonderful, stunning images, I think it is time to take a different look at life for this week’s challenge.

A lot of things have changed over the past week in the world, as we know it.  Despite all this change, the planet continues to rotate and day follows night.  With that in mind, this week’s challenge is to capture Continuation.  This can be expressed in many ways, so I want to encourage you to use your imagination to find what speaks to you of continuation, the process of moving forward toward a future that may be uncertain.

Here is an example of how this might be expressed…

The Line.

The juxtaposition between the vibrant color on the right and the washed aspect of the left, leads us to wonder whether this line will lead us to the promised future or is simply a road to nowhere.

For those who’d like to participate in this weekly challenge, the rules are the following:

  • Write a post with an image for this week’s topic
  • Please tag your post with fpj-photo-challenge (if you’re not sure about how tags work, please check out this WordPress article about tagging posts)
  • Create a pingback link to this post, so that I can create a post showing all of the submissions over the week (note: pingbacks may not appear immediately, as my site is set up to require approval for linking to it; helps against previous bad experiences with spamming)
  • Have fun creating something new (or sharing something old)!!

This might be a bit more serious than the past couple of weeks, but I’m confident that your creative minds will be fertile ground for germinating magnificent images.  I can’t wait to see what this will be!
