Sunday Serenity

A moment of blue hour serenity from the recent workshop that I attended. Showcasing the A.M. Foster Covered Bridge, an intriguing structure built in 1998.

As I’ve worked through a number of the images captured during the awesome workshop from just over a week ago, there is still a bit more to share. Looking at this image, I find it captures a moment of serenity during what is also an intense learning experience.

Here’s a look at this blue hour capture…

Bridge and Blue

The A.M. Foster Covered Bridge is a bit of an anomaly, as it doesn’t connect any roads across a river. Rather, the owner just loved covered bridges, so he had one designed and built in 1998. Nevertheless, it is a great photography subject and appears in many images.

Enjoy your relaxing Sunday!

Sunday Serenity

A bit of serenity at Tower Hill Botanic Garden with an eye toward the variations of green colors.

As today was a rather nice day, I decided to spend some time at Tower Hill Botanic Garden in nearby Boylston, Massachusetts. When I went there last week, all of my shooting was in the Infrared part of the spectrum. Today, I went purely for some visible light exploration, as there were many colors of all variety to enjoy.

Here’s one of the images from today’s crop…

Green Abounds!

If my searching is accurate, this is a rather healthy crop of oregano. I was drawn to the symmetries that are everywhere in this noble herb. Little star-shaped plants, reaching up ever higher as they absorb light, water and nutrients along the way.

Serenity in the Morning

A quiet moment

The WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge provides the theme of Serene.

On a beautiful, still day, mornings can be particularly serene and inspiring of meditation, as we let ourselves be filled by the feeling of the moment. Filling our senses with the touch of the still air, the gentle sounds of birdsong, the pond stretching before our eyes and the scent of trees, we can almost taste the universe on the tip of our tongue.

To me, there’s nothing like taking a moment out of our busy days to stop and appreciate the universe, in which we find ourselves. Rekindling our connection with all that surrounds us, we feel alive, full and happy!

Here’s a rather serene moment for you…

Peaceful Morning

Rocky Pond in Boylston, Massachusetts, used to be on my daily commute, and provided many an opportunity for me to stop for a moment and reconnect with the Universe.

Have a wonderful day!
