The WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge provides the theme of Profuse, which is rather appropriate during this week when the most candy and chocolate is bought.
‘Tis the season for giving sweets to one’s sweetie! So I thought I’d share one of my sweet photos for this occasion…
Welcome to Week 44 of the Tuesday Photo Challenge. After such a great set of contributions for last week’s theme of Mirror, I definitely felt the pressure to come up with another worthy theme…
But then, I do have a little help today, as it is Valentine’s Day, which for many of us is a reminder of love! That’s why this week’s theme is the Color of Love.
Note that I’m not telling you which color to use for this challenge, as it’s not the same color for each of us; what I do challenge you to accomplish in your image(s) is that you portray something about love in it (them). Plenty of freedom to be creative, which I think each of you is highly capable of accomplishing!
When I think about what color represents love for me, I tend to go towards the warmth that we feel with love; warm tones that feel like an embrace from someone really special, an embrace that you would like to have last for time eternal…
Autumn Serenity
As you can tell in this image, Autumn colors were in full regalia; it is a season that I truly love, especially with a bit of Sun playing through the foliage, drawing that soft focus out of me. Soft, warm, loving…
The full rules of this challenge are in TPC Guidelines, but here’s the tl;dr:
Create a pingback link to this post, so that I can create a post showing all of the submissions over the week (note: pingbacks may not appear immediately, as my site is set up to require approval for linking to it; helps against previous bad experiences with spamming)
Have fun creating something new (or sharing something old)!!
I know that I am going to love all of your contributions to this week’s challenge. Let love be your guide, and may you have a wonderful Valentine’s Day!
It’s upon us! The day that must be loved by dentists universally, as their consumer base is expanded! According to a 3-year old CNN article (Valentine’s Day Statistics) $1.6B is spent on candy for Valentine’s Day.
And what did I do to help this a couple of years ago? Photograph more candy, of course, just in case there wasn’t enough consumption yet! But no need to worry, as I didn’t eat the candy and brushed my teeth!
Have a very Happy Valentine’s Day, and remember to brush!!
Technical Details
I shot this in my studio, so camera settings are not really germane, but I will share that the lens I used for this is a Lensbaby Composer with a glass optic. If there’s interest, I’ll be happy to do a post on Lensbaby at some time this Spring.
