Here comes the eighth mystery slide post of this year….

This week is another relatively easy location to find, although it may be harder to google it! There’s no single sign in this image that will give it away, but this harbor is fairly well-known. The snow might also give a good hint.

Which of these boats would you take out to sea?

An idyllic harbor

For bonus points, can you tell us about these boats and their use?

  1. No idea Frank. Dive boats?

    1. Not quite, Brian

      1. Oh well I had a go

  2. I see lobster boats. I’m thinking Maine but it cold be Rhode Island. However, the houses scream Nantucket. Final Answer

    1. Lobster boats are correct, but Nantucket is not the place

  3. I think the taller ones are some sort of fishing boat capable of going out to sea. Has to be in the northeast as there is snow. No idea really.

    1. They all go out to sea…harrowing to think about that

  4. I think it is lying a bit more Northern in Canada, Nova-Scotia.

    1. You went too far north. This is in the state of Maine

  5. I’m going back to my first choice of Maine and it’s well know Bar Harbor.

    1. Bar Harbor is a wonderful town, but not pictured here

  6. This photo looks like so many harbors I see on my bike rides. I could throw out a dozen places. The houses look to be very expensive and the long white building could be a motel or more likely a restaurant. The photo was taken from a bridge and that’s another clue. I’m going to keep trying and say Rockport Ma near Glouster

    1. I’ll help with the clue that this scene is in southern Maine

      1. I have spent lots of time in Portland and it could be there. However I’m thinking of looking behind the Bush’s.

      2. 🙂 Go further south, my friend!

  7. I’ll find that harbor next time I go shopping in the oldest town in Maine.
