New and some old!

Welcome to the 114th round up of the Tuesday Photo Challenge! These are very late, for which I apologize.

This mushroom was fairly new on this day when I photographed it, and did not last much longer than that, as human traffic resulted in another fatality…

In her lovely blog Bend Branches, Siobhan introduces us to a lovely little bunny; with apologies to her dog who had to stay inside.
In a great post in MV Obsession, a new leaf is shown in some beautiful photographs!

With another great post in Land of Images, we get something as fresh as a daisy, ox-eyed daisy that is!
In Don’t Hold Your Breath, we go to the Tirthan valley for some new exploration and new beetles!
In a wonderful contribution in Out of my Write Mind, Sandy brings us a new view of the sky with rather interesting cloud formations!
In ARHtistic License, Andrea shares some new growth with great photos of baby grapefruits!

Khürt’s entry in Island in the Net features a new perspective on an old city, which results in great photos!

Tuesday Photo Challenge – New

Turn over a fresh, new leaf!

Welcome to Week 114 of the Tuesday Photo Challenge! I will finish last week’s challenge round up later during the day and post it tomorrow morning, as the response was again fantastic!

After a week filled with all things with an Age, this week will be all about things New! Whether it’s a newly hatched chick, a young lamb or a shiny new pair of shoes, your challenge is to take a fresh (new) look at what the creative juices in your brain lead you to! Let the ideas flow freely and celebrate the start of a new season (Summer or Winter, depending on your location) with your imagination!

I very much look forward to seeing what your limitless creative ideas come up with this week to be shared with everyone!

Here’s a bit of the new…

These apple blossoms had just appeared and still show off their fresh new-ness, which will soon make way in its continued development toward the tasty apples that follow, as Summer makes way for crisp Autumn days.

Tuesday Photo Challenge – Quotidian

Old turns to new…

Welcome to Week 89 of the Tuesday Photo Challenge.

I hope that you enjoyed reading through the responses to last week’s theme of Pets as much as I did! They were a lot of fun and inspiring!

As we approach the New Year, I thought about what could be new, which led me to what we call New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day in Dutch: Oud en Nieuw; literally, this translates to ‘Old and New’. So, I thought that it might be interesting to take something Old, and give it a new treatment.

The old part is that I’m recycling the image from the first Tuesday Photo Challenge that started us on this path; the new part is that we will use the them Quotidian to create a wonderful set of creative posts to ring in the New Year! Quotidian might be the everyday in our lives, but I’m confident that you will find something rather special in these everyday occurrences!

Please go out there and capture something fun that is part of the everyday aspect of your lives and have some fun with it! Whether it’s a crosswalk that you go across on a daily basis or the mug, from which you drink your morning coffee. The challenge is to photograph this in an unusual, novel way and have it say something new about the old!

This view is a macro image of one of the disk enclosures in my studio. Something that is used every day, as part of my overall storage solution and the inspiration for this week.
