Wonderful architecture

Here comes the fourteenth mystery location post of this year….

Last week’s entry in this series was very difficult, so this week should be a bit more straightforward, as the landmark is rather pronounced…

Where is this?

Plenty of mystery here…

There are some advantages to business trips, such as getting great views, such as these!

Where is this gorgeous location?

Here comes the thirteenth mystery location post of this year….

This one might be a bit tricky, but I can tell you that I have not seen water that blue in many locations….

Where is this?

Nice weather…ancient ruins…

There are some ancient ruins here and the weather is really nice. You’d probably want to vacation in this area!

The answer: this is Apollonia, a settlement just north of Herzliyah, Israel; the ruins here are impressive and tell an interesting tale about those times.

Round and fitting in the hills

Here comes the thirteenth mystery location post of this year….

This is another photo from my travels. It underscores the fact that it’s good to not always plan your route, as serendipity can help find interesting locations, such as the one in today’s post. In addition to this location, the end of the day brought us to another stunning vista that I found out about in a chat with a local here.

Where is this?

From antiquity…

As this structure is fairly unique, I think keen observers have a good chance at this location.

Where did I go shopping?

Here comes the twelfth mystery location post of this year….

Here’s another one from my travels, which does limit the locations somewhat. This one has some hints in the image, but is not that easy…

Where is this?

Going shopping!

The shopping street is an iconic location in this city, as it has been around for longer than I can remember. It’s an interesting mix of upscale and mid-scale shops that attracts many.

Bright and foggy!

Here comes the eleventh mystery location post of this year….

This one is from one of my trips over the years, when I got a bit of time to explore the surrounding country. As you can imagine, I was struck by the vivid colors and found the fog that was hanging just above the town a nice bit of contrast.

Where is this?

Colorful, yet foggy!

It’s not hard to figure out the country…but can you also figure out the town, where I took this photo?

Ann-Christine was correct in recognizing the Icelandic writing on the building, which is part of the Herring Era Museum in Siglufjörður, Iceland. This is on the northern part of the island, not too far from Akureyri.

Where, oh where?

Here comes the tenth mystery location post of this year….

This photo comes from one of my trips that I make for work, which may give a hint to frequent readers. The sentiment in this image is somewhat uplifting, although I find the message and graphics not in sync.

Where is this?

Where would I have found this?

For extra credit, who is in the image and see, if you can get the city…

How much bull do we have here?

Here comes the ninth mystery location post of this year….

The location photographed here has a lot of bull in it. I expect that I left enough clues in this image for the intrepid explorer to pin-point where I was standing when I captured it.

What can you tell me about this bull and its locale?

What a load of Bull!

Have fun and start exploring!
