Today, I’m posting a memory tht is close to my heart, as it is our ‘Old Man’ Darwin from 5 years ago, when he was just in his 10th year…

Focusing on the Target

Darwin clearly focuses with great intensity on the end of the see-saw, as he knows he wants to keep going as fast as possible to the next obstacle!

Happy Poles!

And he is a master of the weave-poles, which he knows how to enjoy!

Darwin maybe in his 15th year now, but he still runs around like the crazy puppy that he thinks he is, and then sleeps a lot longer than he used to do.

Hope you enjoy this glimpse of our Theory of Evolution!

  1. What happy photos. He looks like quite the little champ.

    1. And to think that when we got him at 6 months old, he was a timid little dog, who was afraid of his own shadow 🙂

      1. Sounds like Harry, as a shelter dog he was the same when we got him.

      2. Even though we got Darwin from a breeder, he was not socialized, as he was not ‘show-quality’, which is why he was 6 months old and not placed. He was being run over by 21 bitches who had the run of the place. The moment he saw me, he ran to me looking for protection, which I was happy to give him. That’s 14 years ago at this point 🙂

Dogs like this are just the best, as you get to see how much impact you can have on them, which warms the heart.

      3. How wonderful. And I agree, it does warm the heart to know we make such an impact. I can’t imagine my life without a dog.

  2. Happy subject makes happy photos.

    1. It does indeed!!

  3. Love the pole-weaving photo!

    1. Thank you! He is just so happy in that photo!
