This slide image is one that I took back in 1987 with my trusty Olympus OM-1, which I still own, and it is still functional!

    This is Jacob Cats, a Dutch poet and this statue is in Brouwershaven.He’s famous for his emblem book containing (allegorical illustrations) with accompanying explanatory text, typically morals or poems. This category of books was popular in Europe during the 16th and 17th centuries.
