This shot is from my sauntering through Liverpool after attending a fantastic match at Anfield between Liverpool and Tottenham. For this challenge, I did a B&W conversion using Luminar 4 (Blair Witch Look – Magical Forests by Albert Dros) and cleaning up in Photoshop.

As you might expect, I took this shot at the Liverpool FC fan store in a shopping mall in the great city of Liverpool; some of my favorite numbers are on display here, so I found myself drawn to one of them and made a purchase. Do you want to guess, which number it is?

There were some rather wonderful approaches to the theme, with a retro among them and a very creative look at the view from a window over the years!! Thank you for the all of your creative outpouring.

As I selected Retrospective for this week’s TPC theme, I thought it would be nice to look back at countries visited during the 2010s! So here it goes!
Austria
Love atop the Stephanskirche!
Looking down from the shorter tower of the Stephanskirche provides an incredible view across all of Vienna!

In Vancouver, BC, I got to walk among the treetops, high up above the canyon floor (below…)
Scotland
Skye is simply stunning!
On the Isle of Skye, I got to see some of the most incredible landscapes, such as here, where I’m a ways up in the Quiraing range. I could sit here forever and watch the clouds change the landscape!
Israel
Apollonia National Park
I got some time in Israel to explore the Apollonia National Park in Herzliya; this amazing Roman settlement was a wonder to behold!
Italy
Looking across Massa Maritima
Our Italian trip was filled with amazing towns (idea for some posts…), such as Massa Maritima; the hill towns in Tuscany are just stunning! And the food was awesome too!
Netherlands
Centraal Station, Rotterdam
As can be expected, there have been numerous trips to the Netherlands, and Rotterdam is still among my favorite cities in this world!
Iceland
The Herring Era
Iceland is filled with amazing vistas, and I spent way too little time there (4 days) to scratch the surface. One of my discoveries was the Herring Era museum in Siglufjördur! It brought one back to a different time!
Czech Republic
Looking up in Prague!
Sometimes, travel doesn’t go as planned, and you get to spend an additional 24 hours in a location. This happened in Prague, which is not a bad place to find yourself in!
Ukraine

My visit to Ukraine was fantastic, as the hospitality was amazing and I got to see some of the sights, such as the view here!

Albert Docks at Night
Liverpool, England, was an impromptu visit that gave me the opportunity to see my favorite Premier League team play at Anfield, their home ground! A fantastic city too!
In less than 2 weeks, I will be in India, so the adventure continues!!
Welcome to week 189 of the Tuesday Photo Challenge!
Thank you all for the incredible amount of Peace that flowed throughout last week’s posts! This week, I’ve selected another theme that has been inspired by one of the images I captured in Liverpool just over a month ago. While doing some additional editing, I played around with one of the night-time shots to get it to speak a bit more. This led to an image with a rather warm Glow, which is pushed very much by the wonderful street lighting they have around the Albert Docks.
I think that the interesting part of this challenge will be your choice of direction with the theme of Glow…will you opt for the glow of an ember, a firefly, or the glowing praise that is heaped on a great performance? There are many choices, so feel free to push the boundaries and shoot for that glowing review!
This is definitely one theme that has me curious to see what you might create!! Have fun and go wild!

Olden Times Glow…
The Albert Docks are a lovely area to explore during the evening hours with great restaurants and entertainment. A couple of notes about the creation of this image, as it’s a bit non-standard for me; the shot was captured on an iPhone 11 Pro Max using the NeuralCam app. This app is great for night photography, such as this. I then processed the image using Aurora HDR and used a toned down Misty Landscape preset (at 59%), which also added a bit of grain to the clouds. I cleaned that image up in PhotoShop with a bit of sharpening, a little soft light overlay and popped the contrast somewhat. I cropped it to adjust the aspect ratio to get this result.

Welcome to week 188 of the Tuesday Photo Challenge!
After some rather Fantastic posts by all of you, I think it’s time to get our feet back on solid ground and imagine something that I think all of us can agree on: Peace! Some days this might feel like an abstract concept, but as we approach the holiday season, I think it’s a good idea to consider what this might look like to all of us around the globe…
The challenge I bring to you is to share posts that evoke the sense of peace for you, in whatever form that might take. I expect that many among us have an idea of how we see peace, so I look forward to all of us sharing what that might be like. Who knows? We may bring just a bit more peace to this planet!

I’m visiting Liverpool for the weekend with the ultimate goal of seeing mighty Liverpool FC taken on Tottenham Hotspurs at Anfield. My first 24 hours in this lovely city were pretty rainy, but then the sky started clearing up and the Sun came out!
So I thought I’d share some of the photos that I took today during this wonderful time.
